One of the leading causes of

bankruptcies in America is

medical costs...and since this

country has gone into a bailout mode

to the tune of "Two Trillion Dollars"...

It's time to bring up a glaring need...

At the risk of losing all my conservative friends...It's time

for "Change"... America is the

last hold-out of the civilized West...Universal Health Care...Yes I know, I know...

Sure there are drawbacks , having to wait for certain treatments, and the argument that people from

other countries still come to the

U.S. to be treated...But the U.S.medical system is outta hand, people unable to pay for prescriptions, being

removed from hospital beds because

of their inability to pay, the list goes on...anything that is in the health care reform bill will have to include " TORT"

reform... Lawsuits against doctors has gotten way outta hand... are there

mistakes by doctors and should they

pay for them...yes... but the average doctor is paying one hundred and

fifty thousand dollars a year for malpractice insurance... that's an outrage and must be dealt with... it's the elephant in the room... and something that no one has really talked about...but it must be part of any bill...

Even people with health care

are being denied treatment... if all is going well and you have a medical

savings account of say 100,000 dollars...one week of a catastrophic

health situation...and that's gone...believe me folks no matter how much you jog, lift weights and work out...

No matter how well you eat, or how many times you eat at "Whole Foods" we're all going to get sick...In most

cases, there's nothing we can do about it...the horror stories about

illnesses and how badly people are treated are legendary...Medical costs are outta control...The U.S.A.’s system isn't working , the U.S has one of the highest Infant Mortality rates in the civilized world...Our life expectancy rate is not the best in the world...

that's amazing considering that

America has some of the best

Medical Technology in the world...

but most people in the U.S. can't afford to get to it...Fifty years ago, union medical plans picked up the cost but now unions are all but gone ...

That's a change in America...

And now it's time for another change

"Universal Health Care"... along

with a program to get more doctors

into the system...most doctors

coming outta medical school have

school loans of at least 100,000

thousand dollars...If you took qualified college students , the government sends them to medical school, when they come out, they owe the government at least five years of service, you wouldn't have the loan expense...and you would have a constant flow of doctors into the system...With the

cost of bankruptcies, foreclosures,

social security costs, Medi-Care,

Medi-K  because of medical cost, in the long run even though "Universal Health Care" is a Giant government expense...

it would save the government money...Americans should never have to suffer the way they're suffering with health care now...People are afraid to go to doctors because of the cost...America should be leading the way in health care...instead of lagging

( 37) behind the rest of the world...Yes it is change, but we always go though change in this country: we now have a president who is Black, talk show host  Ellen DeGeneres was on the cover of "People" magazine getting married to a woman...fifty years

ago would we have seen that cover

on "Look" or "Life" magazine, that's change...

An automotive industry on

the brink of bankruptcy, six bucks

for a cup of coffee, Internet dating,

DNA being used to find the "Baby Daddy" and to clear or convict people, Cell Phones and the list

goes on and on...Change is one

of the most uncomfortable things in life...

 America is really uncomfortable

now...It's very frustrating that the

people in America who have the best

health care...our legislators, are the

people who are voting against universal health care for the rest of us...This is a Monumental change

but it's a change for the better...

Yes. it's going to cost money...

But under the current "System" we're

losing money, lives and hope..." "TORT Reform should  be part of any

Bill that is passed by the congress and senate... Doctors are being charge incredible fees for insurance , and being sued for outragous amounts of money and this needs to be calmed down..."Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", a phase out the Declaration of Independence...Health care is a right

that Americans deserve and should
