Well here we go...again...Racial Profiling or Political Correctness...in the town of Cambridge Mass...a woman sees what she believes is (Maybe) someone breaking into a home,
that had been broken into recently...
She calls the police...The police reply...they find no one...the police Sergeant goes into the house and finds a Black Male inside, Black scholar and Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates...The police start questioning him about whose house it is and what he's
doing there...Professor Gates immediately pulls the Black Card..."You're asking me these questions because I'm Black."...The police are only doing their job...did the police know who the owner of the house was, did they know that he was the owner...no...Sergeant Crowley just followed protocol...meanwhile Professor Gates continues
on about "Racial Profiling"...
The policeman, who teaches
Racial Profiling, is following
“Police Procedure”...He asks
Professor Gates to step outside "His" house...Professor Gates refuses and the Sergeant arrests him...on charges of disorderly conduct...charges which were
later dropped...Professor Gates’ comment about racial profiling outta the box immediately sparks tension...It's my belief that's where problem starts and continues...If you listen to the 911 call, race was bearly mentioned...Cambridge is a place where the Mayor is a Black Woman, the
Governor of the state is Black and yes we have a Black President...is all perfect? No...but yes we are making progress on racial relations...If Professor Gates followed Police orders, I feel safe in saying, none of this would've happened...Mr. Gates had a "Don't You Know I Am "...There isn't a Black man in America who hasn't been profiled, followed or wrongly accused by police, myself included...That is a fact of being Black while breathing...But, Blacks are the object of racial profiling not only because "We're" Black,but, because it is "We" who commit the crimes...especially Black on Black crime...
Those are just the facts...because of these Blacks who commit crimes on a constant basis, the rest of us are under constant scrutiny...That's why people cross the street when they see groups of us coming...
Rather than complain about this,
we should be educating more
Blacks making sure we don't drop outta High School, which I did, make sure our family units are solid...and respect others...I'm sure Dr. Gates,
Dr. Alvin Poussaint, Dr.Cornel West, and other Black educators and scholars are spending time in
the Inner City Of Boston tutoring ghetto youth...rather than curse the "Fact" that
Blacks commit more crimes,
especially Black on Black crime...we should be making ourselves better...
But, making things worse...
President Obama, not knowing
any of the facts of the case, chimes in that the Cambridge Police Dept. "Acted Stupidly" in arresting Professor Gates...then Black Governor, Deval Patrick attacks the Cambridge Police Dept... Barack Obama and Deval Patrick both ran as Black Men who are color blind...so imagine the surprise when both men pulled the race card. I would expect this from Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson who are probably putting on their Dashiki's now getting ready for a march...All of Barack's New Wave political friends have run as being for "All" people...One thing did come out in all of this...
There seems to be a class
of Americans that we haven't talked about "The Black Elite".
Yes, the "Black Elite" which is led by Barack Obama and includes "Ivy League” professors and Black & Latino
scholars...Doctors Henry Gates, Alvin Poussaint, Cornel West, and others...Blacks who've gained by being Black, but don't want to deal with the Black Experience...Obama has jumped in and called a meeting at the White House which will probably cool this thing off...For all of your great Accomplishments Professor Gates, we do know who you are... a person who
wouldn't cooperate with police...
Barack Obama preaches...
"There isn't a Black America,
There isn't a Brown America,
There isn't a White America,
There's the United States Of
America"...He needs to teach
that to his friends...
